Appalling,
indeed, is the suffering of these creatures whose
helper and guardian man should be, just because
man’s mind is richer. Yet, alas! We let
them suffer day by day. We let them go to the
slaughter-house. We suffer them to be tortured.
With anguish
in my heart, I can but pray to Him, my Lord and
my Master: “O Thou, who hearest the pain
of the weakest and the lowliest of Thy creatures!
Teach our hearts to her their pain, to hear the
voice of the voiceless ones, to hear them and
to heal them!”
I plead for
mercy to the animals. Can I, indeed truly love
God, if I do not love all things, all beings that
God loveth? I think of how so many of us live
thoughtlessly, even when we see ourselves surrounded
by suffering.

Remember, God has gifted to us this beautiful Environment
to make our world a better place to live. But how
many of us have become conscious about this beautiful
gift?
It was Sadhu T. L. Vaswani, who
made us realize this beautiful Gift? He was a Saint
with a Compassionate heart. His sympathy towards birds
and animals is indeed awe-inspiring to believe. On
one occasion, he said, “Believe me the day is
coming when meat eating will be condemned as murder!"
He also said "I have seen God's image shining
in birds and animals, and for me not to love birds
and animals would be not to love the Lord!" On
one occasion he even said, "Take my head but
pray go and have slaughter houses closed.” These
moving words touched the chord of Dada J.
P. Vaswani, who then made an effort to spread
the message of his Beloved Master to millions of people
all over the world.
In modern times, we have realized the realities of
a Vegetarian diet. The number of pledges are increasing
year after year. This heroic task could be possible
under the able guidance of Dada J. P. Vaswani. This
year, The Sadhu Vaswani Mission, Pune have added another
mark with the Meatless Day and Animal Rights’
Day. This is identified as the “STOP ALL KILLING
(SAK) Association”. We have stirred towards
the innovative ways and means to create awareness
about our SAK ASSOCIATION.
YEAR 2002: The
year 2001 was the most proud occasion for the members
of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission. We had a record breaking
14.2 million people going meatless on this day.
The number of people will go meatless: ---------pledges-
(It’s your chance to decide). Well, to strengthen
our campaign, we created SAK Association, with the
sole aim to create and foster reverence for all Life.
Creating this association means new logo, new banners,
new pledge forms. Above all, more excitement and more
fun.
